Yoga for Everyday Life
The misconception of what yoga is: I'm not flexible, I'm familiar with the practice, I can't sit still. The interesting thing is how often the mind dwells on what we feel we are not, and why that is always our first response. How did we loose our understanding that we are from what we are not. I'm suggesting yoga is a path way to reconnect thorough the physical, solely because its the more tangible of the bodies and unfortunately where have been trained to be. Yoga is the way we can reconnect back to our Greatness Potential to focus more on what I can be from the ideas what I'm not. Namaste!
Keith Mitchell, a former linebacker in the NFL, is now a respected master-certified yoga instructor with more than a decade of experience. Keith was at the top of his professional game when he ascended into the 2000 NFL Pro Bowl, but his football career ended abruptly after being confronted with a crippling spinal injury during a game in 2003, resulting in an unwelcome early retirement at the young age of thirty-one. Unwilling to surrender to the depression and physical defeat he observed in many NFL peers facing similar traumas, he channeled his energy into the practice of yoga and meditation. He discovered, to his surprise, that these two daily practices not only helped him physically recover from his injury but created a refreshing sense of self-awareness and fulfillment which surpassed his love for football.
Unlocking the Mystery of Meditation
In this riveting and fun interview with David Life he unlocks the mystery behind Meditation. He offers a real understanding to the misconceptions of what meditation is and what happens to the mind in during meditation.
The idea is to catch the attention and make into a more neutral state from the perspective of the thinking process and identification. The dramas in our lives are part of our lives because we need to experience the learning that happens from them. Meditation allow us an openness to life's challenges. The tendency of the mind becomes more celebratory through meditation and we live more fully, easily and engaged in life.
Bios are hard for me to digest. The idea that a picture could be painted of me with some little list of factoids is untenable. The only thing that gives me credibility as a yoga teacher is the graceful association with my teachers. Sometimes I like to read bios because it tells me things about a person that I didn't know and to that end, here is a list of all the significant jobs that have come my way over the past 60 years, in order:

Detoxing for a Mindful Planet
Each day we are exposed to toxins that effect our energy, health and vitality. Many of our ailments and diseases today, including fatigue, weight gain, high blood pressure and depression can be attributed to a poor diet, environmental stressors, lack of exercise as well as repressed emotions. In order to make real change in the world and step into our power, we must create optimal health and wellness, which means experiencing the fullness of life: body, mind and spirit. If any aspect of this is imbalanced, its difficult to feel supported and sustained in an ever-changing world. Sustainability is reliant on what we put in our bodies as well as in our thoughts. Daily, we are confronted by toxins in our environment, in our food and even in our emotional circumstances that can block us and make us feel unwell.
In this talk, we will look at how environmental and dietary stressors as well as emotional suppression play a part in our everyday life, and how our choices affect not only us, but the systems of the world. Being empowered around choices can help us feel more aligned with the planet, more in harmony with our true nature and in deeper relationship with each other.
